What kind of job could I get with a degree in radiology and a degree in IST/Information Science & Technology?

27 February, 23:10, by admin

I’m going to have an associate degree in both fields and was wondering what types of jobs are out there where I could utilize both.

There are a lot of insteresting positions at research labs and biotech companies where you can develop software and algorithms for medical image analysis. This would be a good hybrid combining your two backgrounds.

with current science technology and scientists, when can we expect to see?

26 February, 20:51, by admin

any big new products or developments from the science field?
i could make up theories all day!
i want tio see how far along our science is THANX!

Fusion Hot and Cold

Hot: Very soon we will have a controlled, sustained nuclear fusion reaction that will produce more energy than it takes to get it started. But it may be decades before cost effective commercial application – if ever. But if it does pan out, our electrical generation worries are over, not to mention an end to the high environmental impact of Nuclear fission, coal, gas and oil power generation.

Cold: 20 years ago a pair of renowned chemists ruined their reputations and careers by claiming to have created a safe, energy-producing, fusion reaction in a table top apparatus. If that had panned out not only would we have an end to fossil fuel use and ‘dirty’ nuclear fission, but it would far far cheaper than any thing we could do with ‘hot fusion’. But no one could reproduce their results and their claims were discredited. Or were they? It turns out they may have been on to something real and a lot of labs are working on it. Several reputable labs claim to have measured net positive energy output in these ‘cold fusion’ experiments. But none of them can do it repeatedly and consistently. So the jury is still out, but there just might be something there that could change everything.

How did science, technology and society intertwined to one another?

25 February, 01:55, by admin

how did this three intertwined to one another?
all your help is very welcome..
thanks..
^.^

Technology is a part of science. Science is a part of Society. Modern society doesn’t exist without science and technology. There is science in every activity, from brushing of teeth to sleeping peacefully without mosquito-menace; from wearing your dress to disposing it environment-friendly; from tilling of land to composting the unused food for rejuvenation of farmlands; from learning the alphabet to earning a doctorate; from womb to tomb; from stepping out to reach out the stars; from sowing a seed to preserving its species for the future generations; from enjoying the nature to gifting it undisturbed to others.

Scenario Campaign – 27 – G Science And Technology Research Building 3

Level – G Science And Technology Research Building 3
Captive – Julia Chang
Level Type – Mandatory

As you could see on the dossier Lee Chaolan handed to Lars (or not since my camera quality is kinda poopy), Julia Chang is the captive informant here. You do not fight against her, you do not fight with her, you do not speak to her, and she does not appear in the cutscene afterwards or any other cutscene in Scenario Campaign. It makes me wonder if she’s a filler and why on earth she appears so late in the game? At least she has some connection to the plot as she is working in a research facility owned by the G Corporation.

This place really doesn’t let up, as you can see from the very beginning. But it’s a great place to earn your Alien Hunter trophy if you haven’t already.

Julia Chang cares about the planet Earth and all of its inhabitants whether they walk on two legs, four legs, or no legs at all. She is in charge of a reforestation project, and with the help of an old clairvoyant, she learns about the that is to become of the earth once Jin and Kazuya finally bang heads. Like many, she is in the tournament to stop them.

Has anyone taken or heard of a Bachelor of Arts degree in Science, Technology and Society?

22 February, 22:40, by admin

It’s a program offered at the University of Alberta as part of their interdisciplinary route in the bachelor of arts which can be taken as a major or minor. I’m seriously thinking about majoring in this subject but I’m worried that it is only a specialized version of Sociology. Does anyone have any knowledge of this program? And if so, what would be a good minor to take with this program?

I don’t know how Science and Technology link to an Arts degree….they are offered by different faculties but I suppose if they offer it…it sounds okay…

What jobs would this degree likely lead onto….check and see what graduates of this course end up doing that is also a good way to gauge whether a programme is good to take

Iranian scientists clone goat

Iranian scientists have cloned a goat and plan future experiments they hope will lead to a treatment for stroke patients.

The female goat, named Hana, was born early on Wednesday in the city of Isfahan in central Iran.

“With the birth of Hana, Iran is among five countries in the world cloning a baby goat,” said Isfahani, an embryologist. Mohammed Hossein Nasr e-Isfahani, head of the Royan Research Institute, said.

He said his institute’s main aim in cloning the goat is to produce medicine to be used to treat people who have had strokes.

In 2006 Iran became the first country in the Middle East to announce it had cloned a sheep.

The effort is part of Iran’s quest to become a regional powerhouse in advanced science and technology by 2025. In particular, Iran is striving for achievements in medicine and in aerospace and nuclear technology.

Al Jazeera’s Nazanine Moshiri reports from Tehran.

What is the difference between forensic science/technology and forensic psychology?

21 February, 22:18, by admin

?

forensic science/technology: the semen we collected from inside the victim’s anus has clumps in it, indicating that offender did not have sex for a while.

forensic psychology: victim has her breasts cut off, so offender must have been abused as a child.
