what is the importance of science, technology, and society?? please help me…rude answers will be reported…i just wanna know what u guys think…

Well, mostly to help the human race survive.
There is simply no other approach than (at least the attempt of) truly understanding the way the universe works to make our chances of continuance better. The universe is a very hostile environment and if we become stagnant, then we will surely become extinct.
Society tries to manage the real and imagined complications of our journey, compounding exponentially with every scientific and philosophical step/leap forward.
Are we worthy of continual survival and advancement?
Only Space-Time will tell.
